The best surprise

This weekend, my amazing roommate Marissa coordinated a surprise going away party at her house. All of my best friends from HPU were there and  I have never felt more loved in my life. It finally started to hit me that I wont see all of their lovely faces every day :( I am going to miss them so much, but could not be more thankful for all of their support and warm wishes for me. Not only were they able to put up with me the entire semester stressing out about SAS stuff, but my entire time at HPU they have been wonderful.

Guys, I am going to miss ya'll so much but I can't wait for our reunion. It'll be epic.

XOXO,
Sara

Officially a STUDENT on board

Today was possibly one of the most stressful moments of the Semester at Sea process. After many attempts at refreshing pages and a few panic attacks, I am officially registered for class on board! I could only sign up for 4 online, but hopefully I can squeeze into the 5th course I was hoping for on move in day. Each have a "field lab" which has one day on shore dedicated to research and learning for the class.

The classes I will be taking are:

  • Introduction to Anthropology with a field lab in India
  • Consumer Behavior with a field lab in Vietnam
  • Mass Communication and Human Behavior with a field lab in South Africa
  • Religions Around the World with a field lab in Morocco

I cannot wait to start them all! Focusing on the fall semester at High Point just got a little more difficult.

XO,
Sara

It's Official!

Hi guys!

Well, it's official. I am studying abroad next semester!! I got my acceptance letter last Friday for Semester at Sea, a program run through University of Virginia. I am super excited to be sailing all around the Pacific and Atlantic for 4 months, travelling to 12 countries and 14 cities. I will be blogging my trip HERE on this blog and will keep you posted on how I am doing and where all I am. Can't wait to start this trip with you!
